At we are using machine learning to make the world better. We are creating algorithms that will revolutionize the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

We pair digitized pathology slides with clinical notes and our machine learning algorithms to allow pathologists to diagnose cancer faster and more accurately.  PAIGE has access to 10 petaFLOPS of GPU compute using AIRI, the most advanced architecture ever built for scale-out AI.

We have an exclusive data licensing agreement with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, giving us access to some of the largest datasets in the world.

We’re seeking an AI Research Engineer to join us.  In this role you’ll join a team of world-leading experts in machine learning, computer vision and pathology.  You’ll be part of the team that builds solutions for pathologists, clinicians and researchers to accelerate and improve the accuracy of cancer detection, classification and staging.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to be part of a high-performing team and to pursue a life-changing mission.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement software for deep learning networks (AlexNet, ResNet, VisNet) and develop next-generation convolutional neural networks on GPUs for the prediction, segmentation and grading of cancer in collaboration with pathologists and computer scientists.
  • Work closely with AI Scientists to plan, develop, train and test machine learning models for the purposes of computational pathology.
  • Validate and test deep learning models on large scale clinical pathology image data.  This includes the development of a validation strategy and definition of reasonable accuracy measures.
  • Integrate validated machine learning modules into web server and high-performance computing (HPC) architecture.
  • Optimize and compile machine learning modules for efficiency, speed, and usability.
  • Follows good, industry standard software practices.

About you:

  • You hold a Bachelors’ degree or higher in computer science or related field.
  • You have at least five years’ experience with software design and development in commercial settings.
  • You have strong experience with languages like C++, C#, and Python.
  • You have a deep understanding of statistical methodology.
  • You’re experienced in implementing highly scalable machine learning frameworks that leverage GPU acceleration.
  • Experience with Linux, distributed systems and HPC setups.

In addition to our excellent benefits package we provide competitive salaries and stock options to our employees.
